    Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ?

    Hello all,

Trying to decide between these two cars. I know that they are almost identical, but does one have any advantages over the other? Price is not a factor. Between Toyota and Subaru, which manufacturer has a better reliability history? What factors should I consider before making this decision?

    Thanks!

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

The brz has subaru data dot security , so you should get a better deal on comprehensive insurance!
They are both manufactured by the same robots in the same factory , so the initial reliability should be equal.
It is debatable wether subaru dealers or toyota dealers are more competent at servicing subaru boxer engines!

    Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ?

Debatable in quality maybe but subaru has additional services they offer to toyota. One in particular is subaru offer an upper cylinder cleaner every 15,000kms whereas toyota do not. So i have bought the small can required to do it from subaru service department for $12.95 and will give it to toyota to do once my car gets to that point.

Subaru servicing is also more expensive on the whole, because subaru is seen as more of a premium brand compared to toyota.
