Cool 2014 Toyota 86 to Become Track Car

    Hey Guys!

I'm starting this thread to announce my upcoming project.

Earlier this year I bought an 86 that had been written off but amazingly had only body damage; the engine ran perfectly.

I started talking about this on the new members thread but for those who haven't seen, I'm still not 100% sure where I'm going with this car so i'm starting off very basic.
    My car is:
2014 Toyota 86, Manual, Pearl White - Basic Package nothing fancy (for now)

First thing I did was increase the rotor size. I got a Subaru 326mm rotor and used an adapter to fit a Wilwood caliper. Still deciding on whether or not to make slots in the rotors? But that's not important at the moment anyway

I had some nice Bride seats laying around that I'll chuck in at some stage, can't quite remember the model - they're probably discontinued now anyway! They're the kind that wrap around your head if that helps.

Been looking for a body kit because as you can see... I needed one. Best one I've seen is the Rocket Bunny V2.

That's it for now until I work out what I should do next

Anyone put the Rocket Bunny V2 kit on their car? And/or know where to get one for a good price?

    Hey Mick,
At this stage I'll pass because like i said I don't know what I'm doing with it yet. Still trying to find time to fix it up...1st world problems.
Why did you want the standard boot and wing if you have the GTS set?

Hey bud. I wanted all the options that the GTS had but haven't been a fan of the batwing they put on it. The were going to charge me an arm and a leg to swap it for a GT boot at the dealership so i ended up keeping it. The look i'm going for doesn't suit the batwing. The wing on the 2017 GTS is even worse lol
    Cheers

That makes sense now haha They're definitely pushing the sporty look. I guess they assume if you go to spend more money on upgrading the features they try to upgrade everything, But I don't see why it would cost you and them extra to downgrade a part. I'd say its due to mass production, they now have to stop and think about changing 1 car in the production line.
I'll message you if I'd like to swap

    Thanks
