Subaru BRZ Australia Official Options & Dealer Brochure (UPDATED)

Subaru BRZ Australia Official Options & Dealer Brochure (UPDATED)

Following on from our previous official pricing announcement date story (16th of July 2012) we have now had two members MLC-72 and Ripe confirm the following official options offered by for the :

  • Navigation unit NOT standard (confirmed)
  • Leather/alcantara seats are optional (confirmed)
  • Heated seats optional (confirmed)
  • Spoiler (Accessory)

Everything else appears to be the GTS spec.

That begs the question of how it will be priced – as the spec sits between GT and GTS. It would be reasonable to estimate that the base model manual may be priced around $34500 + ORC. We are also eagerly awaiting to find out the cost of the options. It is also worth mentioning that we have had reports that the order book for the first shipment has been completely fulfilled with Subaru importing only 30 BRZs per month for the first six months.

The following options have been observed by our forum member Redmist on international Subaru cars:

  • Daytime running lights
  • Sat nav
  • Large exhaust tips
  • Leather/alcantara seats
  • Heated seats
  • Touch external locking
  • Small rear spoiler

It will be interesting to see if Australia manages to secure all of these as they did mention that they would only be importing the high spec model.

Finally we have also been lucky to have our forum user MonkeyPants take pics of the brochure that his local Subaru dealer gave him. For a continuation of this story and further details please follow this forum thread and remember to register in our friendly forums. Thank you!

Further to what we reported previously our forum member Nikki Mullet has submitted a scan of the brochure that allows us to see further details.

The only options appear to be the

  • Leather/alcantara seats
  • Heated seats (Driver and Front Passanger)

However Subaru Australia has a very extensive list of accessories:

  • Carpet Mat Set
  • Navigation UNit
  • Fuel Lid Garnish
  • Rear Under Diffuser
  • Rear Spoiler
  • Rear Step Panel
  • Rear Park Assist
  • Front Corner Assist
  • Boot / Spare Wheel Carpet Mat
  • Reverse Camera
  • Cigarette Lighter
  • Rear Bumper Aplique

We also have this information from our forum Member WR BRZ

I just rang Subaru at Springwood QLD and they couldn’t confirm what was posted above but have said that Subaru is only taking orders ONLINE through there website when the car launches Monday 16th. Dealers and Customers can order through the Website.

Ordering your BRZ over the internet is certianly a novel approach, however we are sure that some buyers have already managed to secure their BRZ though the dealer. We are all eagerly awaiting for a full pricing list for all the options and accessories. The Subaru accessories list appears to be better thought out and more comprehensive than the list. It will be interesting to see wether Toyota responds by adding some of these accessories to its own in the near future.
